Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how to control it.

This Privacy Policy explains how AheadChoice ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit aheadchoice.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who we are

AheadChoice is operated by [Legal Entity Name], a company registered in [Country/State] with registered address at [Address]. For privacy-related questions, contact us at privacy@aheadchoice.com.

Where required by law (e.g. GDPR), our Data Protection contact is [Name], reachable at the email above.

2. Information we collect

We keep collection to the minimum needed to operate and improve the Site.

  • Information you provide. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. If you submit a form, we receive the fields you fill in.
  • Automatically collected information. When you visit a page, our hosting and analytics providers receive standard request metadata: IP address, user agent, referring URL, page URL, screen size, country (derived from IP), and approximate timestamps. This is standard for any website on the internet.
  • Advertising data. We display ads served by third parties (see section 5). Those third parties may set cookies or use other identifiers to measure ad performance and serve relevant ads. We do not directly collect this data ourselves.

We do not require accounts, do not sell newsletters, and do not profile you for resale.

3. How we use information

  • To operate and secure the Site (hosting, caching, abuse prevention).
  • To understand which guides are useful (aggregate analytics — no individual user profiles).
  • To respond to messages you send us.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK readers)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the legal bases we rely on are:

  • Legitimate interests for analytics, abuse prevention, and basic site operation.
  • Consent for personalized advertising (where required) — collected via the cookie banner.
  • Contract when you contact us and we reply.
  • Legal obligation for retaining records required by law.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookie / non-cookie technologies, grouped as follows:

Strictly necessary

Essential for the Site to function (e.g. remembering your cookie banner choice, security protections from Cloudflare). These cannot be turned off.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not fingerprint individual users. If we add other analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent first.

Advertising

We display ads via Google Ad Manager, Google AdSense, and partner ad networks ("SSPs"). These services may set cookies or use device identifiers to measure ad views, prevent fraud, and serve more relevant ads. Where required by law, our cookie banner asks for your consent before personalized advertising cookies are set; you can change your choice anytime via the "Cookie settings" link in our footer.

For Google's role, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising at Google Ads Settings, and from many other ad networks at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.com (EU/UK).

6. How information is shared

We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Site, including:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, CDN, DNS, security, analytics.
  • Google LLC — advertising (Ad Manager, AdSense) and Search Console.
  • Email and customer support tools we use to reply to your messages.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. If we are ever required to disclose information by law (subpoena, court order, regulator request), we will do so to the minimum extent required and, where lawful, notify you.

7. International transfers

Our service providers are global and may process your data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK Addendum.

8. How long we keep data

  • Server logs: up to 30 days.
  • Analytics aggregates: up to 24 months.
  • Email correspondence: as long as needed to respond and meet legal retention requirements (typically up to 3 years).

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of your data.
  • Withdraw consent for processing based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA / CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. We may "share" device identifiers with advertising partners as defined by California law; you can opt out using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@aheadchoice.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.

10. Children

AheadChoice is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use HTTPS site-wide, store no payment information, and rely on hardened infrastructure (Cloudflare). No internet service is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes took effect. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for at least 14 days.
